ACB's Convention is coming up fast! Any Bflaggers going?

I've also come across the following website for the first time.

Hope some folks will respond with a yes I'm going!

Not me. I didn't plan it out and I have no desire to go to Floridia, especially in Summer time! *lol*

Lol I had no idea this was coming up. I'd like to go, but with parents not knowing, it would be hard..

Oh, it is the American Councel of the Blind convention, this is just a part of it.

Plenty of people go to the ACB convention, if you wanted to take that route. *smile*

what does being gay/lesbian have to do with blindness? seems a perfectly good distraction, serving only the purpose of detracting from the real issues of being a blind productive citizent. Note: the nfb does/will never have such a "group/devision"

Teerdrop, there are actually some valid reasons. Some of which include dating or finding other gay people. Doing these is hard enough for sighted people, but when you are blind and gay its even tricker. I suggest you read other topics on this board.

I couldn't agree more, Shawn. There are lots of subsets of ACB which means it's very inclusive. I was told by the NFB leadership when I asked that there are no gay blind people. Sorry, if I'm going to associate with a group of people who are blind, I'd rather work with people who actually believe I exist. Ok, rant over now. :)
